Interactive Brand Experience
2026

Today, brands can no longer rely on simply selling products; they must tell stories that create meaningful connections with their audiences. Love, Unlocked is a digital experience designed for Cartier that invites users to interact with the brand beyond a transaction. Inspired by the iconic Love bracelet, the project transforms the act of unlocking the bracelet into an immersive interactive game. Through play, users step into the symbolic world of Cartier’s Love collection, experiencing its themes of commitment, precision, and timeless design.

The project blends 3D rendering, coding, marketing strategy, and interaction design into a single experience. Originally developed in my Immersive 3D Environments course, Love, Unlocked explores how digital storytelling can extend luxury branding into interactive spaces.

The Challenge

Luxury brands have long relied on heritage, craftsmanship, and exclusivity to communicate value. However, engaging younger audiences requires translating those values into formats that feel participatory rather than purely transactional. The challenge was to reinterpret the symbolic gesture behind the Cartier Love bracelet (unlocking it with a screwdriver) and transform it into an engaging digital interaction while maintaining the brand’s refined aesthetic.

The experience needed to balance playful mechanics with Cartier’s visual sophistication, creating a game that felt immersive and interactive without losing the elegance and emotional resonance associated with the brand.

My Approach

To bring this concept to life, I designed an interactive mini-game where users must align and rotate a virtual screwdriver to unlock the bracelet’s screw mechanism. The mechanic begins simple but becomes progressively more challenging, encouraging precision, timing, and focus. This interaction mirrors the patience and intention embedded in the real-life act of fastening the Love bracelet.

The project was built using PlayCanvas, integrating a 3D bracelet model with JavaScript to control the game logic and animations. A soft sunset-inspired environment and minimalist interface were designed to reflect Cartier’s romantic visual language while keeping the focus on the interaction itself.

By combining 3D design, coding, and brand storytelling, Love, Unlocked demonstrates how digital experiences can deepen emotional engagement with a luxury brand, transforming a simple gesture into a memorable interactive narrative.
