About

Alma Bikina is a fashion lookbook conceived as a mixed-media experience, where garments are presented through texture, movement, and atmosphere rather than traditional product documentation. Rooted in coastal inspiration and Latin American identity, the project translates the emotional world of the collection into a visual language that feels intimate, cinematic, and tactile.

The Challenge

How can a lookbook function as an emotional extension of the garments, rather than a purely descriptive tool? The challenge was to move beyond conventional fashion presentation and create a visual experience that captures mood, materiality, and identity, allowing the collection to be felt as much as it is seen.

My Approach

I designed the lookbook as a mixed-media composition, using layered imagery, subtle motion, and organic textures to evoke the tactile qualities of the garments. Visual imperfections like grain, blur, and light leaks were used intentionally to create depth and atmosphere, allowing the collection to unfold as an emotional and sensory experience rather than a traditional product showcase.

Alma Bikina represents a reimagining of fashion storytelling — transforming garments into immersive experiences that go beyond the fabric. Through interactive design, bilingual narratives, and cinematic installations, the project brings Coco+Schön's coastal-inspired creations to life in a way that is both tangible and evocative. This experience bridges the digital and physical worlds, offering a new perspective on Salvadoran fashion and its capacity for global resonance. Alma Bikina is not just a collection; it is a journey—one that invites exploration, connection, and cultural celebration.
