ABOUT

Alma Didot is a Type Specimen Book that explores the Didot typeface through form, structure, and application. Designed as both a reference and a visual artifact, the book showcases Didot’s history, anatomy, and expressive potential within fashion and editorial contexts.

THE CHALLENGE

How can a type specimen move beyond a technical catalog to become an experiential and narrative object? The challenge was to present Didot’s precision and elegance while maintaining visual interest, clarity, and hierarchy across a multi-page format.

MY APPROACH

I approached the book as an editorial system, carefully balancing white space, scale, and typographic contrast to let Didot speak for itself. Through structured layouts, controlled pacing, and deliberate typographic experimentation, I highlighted the typeface’s versatility and refinement. Each spread was designed to feel intentional and restrained, reflecting Didot’s legacy in high-fashion and luxury communication.
